With Halloween coming up in less than a month, it's that time of year again when everyone starts thinking about their costume. Halloween costumes are a funny thing - kids around age 12 or younger love dressing up, then it becomes lame to do it until you get in college, where everyone starts doing it again. I will go through some of my awesome halloween costume ideas.
One of my favorite costumes came a few years back. Like most years, I had no clue what I was going to be. I went to the costume store to check out what they had. I saw this wig that looked exactly like The Beatles haircuts from the 1960's, so I picked it up. When I found sweet hippy sunglasses and a tie-dyed shirt, I knew I was in business. The John Lennon costume was a huge hit; I have never had so many girls coming up to me saying how much they love my costume. One of my friends put it bluntly "You look like the biggest burnout ever". I'll take it as a compliment.
Another awesome halloween costume ideas is a cowboy or cowgirl. The costumes store are full of cowboy outfits - you just need to go find an authentic pair of cowboy boots to make the look official. For the girls who want to rock this outfit, check out pictures of the famous people who have worn cowboy boots over the years to see what style you like the best. It is a relatively inexpensive and highly stylish outfit to wear.
One outfit that I wore in college that I am particularly fond of is my "ostrich rider" outfit. This is an outfit that has a fan inside of it that inflates an ostrich and has legs on the side so it looks like you are riding it. This was also a big hit when I wore it. I am sure you can find something similar in your local costume shops or on the internet.
Those are a few costume ideas for guys and girls. Dressing up for Halloween is so much fun - if you are one of those people who thinks it is lame, I suggest you lighten up and go find yourself something sweet to wear.
