Did You Know These 10 Things About Nail Fungus?

1. Nail fungus is caused by the same fungus that causes Athlete’s foot.  It is a dermatophye that draws its nourishment from the keratin protein in skin and nails.

3. It is estimated that nail fungus will affect 10% of Americans in their lifetime.
4. Treatment times are long.  Toenails can take up to 18 months to completely grow out.  It takes approximately 8 months for a healthy fingernail cycle.
